At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011, visitors met with representatives of Italian construction equipment manufacturers and trade organizations at the Italian Trade Commission pavilion. Highlights included hands-on demonstrations and both formal and informal discussions.

Italian producers are leading manufacturers and exporters of construction equipment serving markets in over 140 countries. According to COMAMOTER (the Italian Earthmoving Machinery Manufacturers Association), for the year 2009, 300,000 metric tons of equipment and components will be manufactured in Italy, with 96% going to the export market. This amounts to approximately $2 billion dollar business driven by world-class companies. Italian equipment is known for innovation, precision engineering, and endurance under rigorous work conditions. In 2010, exports of Italian construction equipment to the U.S. increased 3%, compared to the previous year.

For distributors looking to carry new equipment lines, Italian manufacturers offer highly competitive, quality construction equipment with proven performance in the world market.

Ten Italian manufacturers, who participated in the Italian Trade Commission pavilion at ConExpo, offered a variety of products, new to the U.S. market. Corporate and product literature, videos of products at work, and specification lists were available at the booths.
